Anxiety
Do you feel like something terrible is always just around the corner? Maybe your heart races, your chest tightens, and you feel overwhelmed by panic—without knowing why. If that sounds familiar, you may be struggling with anxiety or panic disorder—and you're not alone.
I specialize in Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), the leading treatment for anxiety-related disorders like OCD and panic. ERP helps you gradually face the thoughts and sensations that trigger fear, so your brain and body can learn a new response—one rooted in calm rather than avoidance.
As your symptoms begin to ease, we’ll integrate mindfulness tools like breathwork, somatic awareness, and meditation to support long-term healing. These practices help you reconnect with your body, stay present, and prevent anxiety from taking over again.
Our work is practical, compassionate, and collaborative. You’ll gain tools that make sense, learn why they work, and walk away feeling more confident, grounded, and in control of your life.
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
Do you find yourself grappling with intrusive and anxiety-provoking thoughts, leading you to engage in behaviors to alleviate or distract from these fears? Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often misunderstood, with misconceptions that it solely revolves around orderliness or perfectionism. However, it encompasses various unwanted, persistent thoughts that induce severe anxiety or fear, spanning topics from harming others to questioning one's relationships or identity. These intrusive thoughts can cause significant stress, anxiety, and even depression, leading individuals to develop coping mechanisms known as compulsions. These may include avoidance of triggers, rituals or acts to alleviate distress, extensive research for reassurance, or engaging in mental compulsions. If these behaviors consume a substantial amount of time, seeking assessment for OCD is advisable. Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) therapy, a research-driven approach, is recognized as the most effective treatment for OCD. ERP involves confronting fears, gradually reducing anxiety, and ultimately eliminating compulsions, typically resulting in significant improvements within a relatively short timeframe of 3-9 weeks. While challenging, ERP offers a highly effective pathway to managing OCD symptoms.
Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy offers a powerful adjunct to traditional therapeutic modalities, providing a multifaceted approach to addressing mental health concerns such as anxiety and depression. By delving into the subconscious mind, hypnotherapy targets the root causes of negative thinking patterns that fuel anxiety and depression, facilitating profound shifts in perception and emotional resilience. Through tailored suggestions and guided imagery, individuals can reprogram detrimental behaviors and release ingrained habits that perpetuate their distress, paving the way for the cultivation of healthier habits and coping mechanisms. Moreover, hypnotherapy fosters a deep sense of self-awareness and empowerment, bolstering self-confidence and self-esteem. When integrated with conventional therapy techniques, hypnotherapy synergistically enhances treatment outcomes, offering a holistic pathway to lasting mental well-being. By harnessing the power of the mind, hypnotherapy empowers individuals to overcome obstacles, transform their lives, and thrive.
